Older Adult Fitness Specialty Module

April 28th to May 12th on Monday and Wednesday evenings 5:30 to 8:30pm PST

The Older Adult Fitness Module is an in-depth and informative course designed to prepare the fitness leader who has already taken a specialty module (Group Fitness, Weight Training, Aqua Fitness, Yoga, Pilates, etc.) to instruct seniors through a safe and effective fitness program. As we age, we go through many changes, both physiological and psychological. You will learn how aging affects the heart, lungs, muscles and other soft tissue and how this affects a person’s flexibility, strength and metabolism. Help the seniors you train to get the best from your training sessions!

What is included in this course?

This course is done over 5 evenings online on Zoom and will be followed with a final assignment to get your certificate.

For BCRPA Registration: After completing and passing this course with the quizzes, you will then complete the BCRPA exam and have an Instructor Competency Evaluation done – we can also help you with both of these.
