About Body Blueprint
Body Blueprint has been training fitness professionals in Canada and internationally since 1986.
We offer Fitness Theory, Weight Training, Personal Training, Aqua Fitness, Group Fitness and continuing education workshops both online and in-class.
All of our courses and workshops are approved with BCRPA, the Nova Scotia Fitness Association, and most with CanFitPro, Colleges of Massage Therapy from BC to Newfoundland, Manitoba Fitness Council (MFC), Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification Association (AFLAC) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
Our courses are used to prepare for the provincial exams in Canada and have been used by the RCMP and colleges and universities around the world.
Founder and Director Christina Truscott has been involved in the fitness industry for over 30 years. She is a Trainer of Fitness Leaders in Group Fitness, Aqua Fitness, Weight/Strength and Personal Training. She teaches every aspect of fitness and fitness education including yoga and Pilates. Her commitment to the fitness industry, her knowledge and her dynamic and entertaining style make her seminars and courses enjoyable and informative. Christina is a member in good standing with BCRPA, Canadian Fitness Professionals and is an approved trainer with ACE.
Christina was the recipient of the Woman of Distinction Award for Health and Fitness in 1998 and has also travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean teaching fitness classes and seminars. She is approachable, energetic and motivating and an example of why active health should be a lifestyle choice. Christina was the Program Director and Manager of the Personal Training department at Fitness World Victoria for over 21 years. She has taught thousands of fitness professionals throughout Canada and as far away as Saudi Arabia, England, Scotland, the Netherlands and Japan. In fact, many fitness course instructors across Canada were once Body Blueprint Fitness students!
Julia Woensdregt is the co-instructor for Body Blueprint, and is a fitness enthusiast, holistic health advocate and educator to future fitness professionals on Vancouver Island. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic and Exercise Therapy, is a Certified Athletic Therapist with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association, Personal Trainer and Trainer of Fitness Leaders with the BCRPA, Certified Sports and Conditioning Specialist with NSCA and Certified Exercise Physiologist with CSEP.
Julia has a passion for helping people find their own path to whole health and fitness through sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, natural medicines and whole, natural sources of nourishment for the mind, body and soul. She is enthusiastic about her approach to fitness and has accomplished a variety of personal fitness goals, previously competing in a Figure bodybuilding competition.
Julia is excited to discover what lies ahead on her fitness journey and, in turn, share her knowledge and passion with her patients.
